Kaiyahouse, the most reputed homestay in Varkala, located only a 10 minute walk from Varkala's famous cliff tops, offers the traveller a calm and beautiful environment to enjoy the sights and sounds of India in a relaxed atmosphere. The 5 guest rooms all have a theme from different parts of the world ranging from the African room to the Chinese, Japanese, Indian and English.

Suraj and Debra offer a unique experience of India in this family run business. Babuchi and Latha are here to take care of the guests needs and to provide a variety of lovely, fresh breakfasts. The selection of breakfast ranges from traditional Kerala food to scrambled eggs with toast, oats, fresh fruit, omelets and banana pancakes.

Debra, originally from the United States has more than 30 years experience in the health and fitness industry. Her background includes teaching Pilates for 14 years, 10 years specializing in Sports Massage as well as post injury rehab and teaching a variety of classes ranging from stretch to aerobics, leading mountain hikes and circuit weight training.

Suraj has worked in the Kerala film industry as well as being a certified yoga teacher. Before settling in Kerala, Debra and Suraj enjoyed London life together for 9 years following their marriage in Kochi on the 1st of January, 2000.
